Our client, based in Port Elizabeth (but with clients also in Humansdorp and Jeffrey’s Bay Areas ), is looking for an Employment Equity and Skills Development Coordinator to join their customer centric, dynamic, and innovative team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Training and Development field in both an administrative capacity and have worked with Training and Development Administration and Management, SETA’s, Quality Assurance Bodies, Qualifications and facilitated training.

Responsibilities:
Consult with Clients
Compile & submit Employment Equity analysis & plans for review and sign off
Accurate compilation of information to report to Department of Labour
Submit ATR, WSP as well as Pivotal Plans annually and on time to the SETA
Assisting clients with implementation of Workplace skills plan process
Conducting on site reviews should it be required
Presenting to clients
Meeting project targets
Managing projects
Meeting deadlines
Liaising with various teams to ensure best solution deliver to clients
Verifying evidence & information from various sources
Identifying risks & opportunities
Any other related function that is reasonably required from time to time
Assisting clients with their Skills development planning & process

Minimum Competencies Required:
• Must have at least 3 years relevant & current knowledge

Salary:

Dairy Farm Manager: Humansdorp, Eastern Cape

Our client is looking for an energetic, dynamic Farm Manager with at least 5 years of Dairy Farm experience to join his team. The successful applicant will report to a Senior Farm manager and the owner. This job represents an amazing opportunity to join a successful and highly regarded Dairy Farm. Tasks and Outputs will include, but not be limited to:

  • Plans, develops, and implements policies, procedures, and practices for operation of dairy farm to ensure compliance with company’s or owner’s standards for farm production, propagation of herd, and regulations of regulatory agencies.
  • Supervising milking routine, general hygiene and orderliness of work area, Mastitis detection and treatment, animal husbandry wrt. sick animals, vaccinations of the milk herd and pre- and post- calving treatments that are necessary .
  • Directs and coordinates, through subordinate supervisory personnel, farm activities, for example breeding and rearing livestock, feeding and milking of cows, storage of milk, and sterilizing and maintaining facilities and equipment.
  • Reviews breeding and milk production records to determine bulls and cows that are unproductive and should be sold.
  • Inspects facilities and equipment to ensure compliance with sanitation standards, and to determine maintenance and repair requirements.
  • Dairy Machine R&M (or at least the ability to pick up if there is something on the machine that requires attention).
  • Authorizes, requisitions, or purchases supplies and equipment, e.g. feed, disinfective & sanitation chemicals and replacements for defective equipment.
  • Secures services of veterinarian for treatment of herd or when cows are calving.
  • Prepares farm activity reports for evaluation by management or owner.
  • As and when required, may direct and coordinate activities regarding planting, growing, harvesting, and storage of feed forage crops.
  • Directly supervise dairy workers on small farms.
  • Clerical and administrative job duties, like drawing up budget plans and maintaining records of day-to-day operations.
  • Personnel evaluations and personnel training.

Minimum Competence, Qualification and Experiential Requirements:

  • Agricultural Diploma/Degree not a must, but could be advantageous
  • Min of 5 years previous dairy farming experience is a must
  • Pasture experience will be beneficial
  • Irrigation experience will be beneficial
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to speak Xhosa will be highly advantageous
  • Must be personable, approachable and with high integrity

Job Summary:

Specific Tasks: 

  • Integrate HIV/AIDS management in paediatric and adult patient care.
  • Integrate TB and PMTCT management for all clients as needed.
  • Provide physical examinations for patients during consultation and record data obtained such as pulse rate, respiration rate, blood pressure, temperature, weight and height.
  • Draw blood from patients for baseline tests and others (i.e. CD4 count, HIV Elisa, Viral Load, etc)
  • Conduct rapid tests such as: lactate metre, glucometer, haemoglobin meter, pregnancy, and HIV.
  • Interpret and deliver test and lab results.
  • Check and administer drugs and injections.
  • Provide ARV adherence counselling.
  • Provide health-related education to clients as needed.
  • Escort clients to hospitals and clinics as needed.
  • Conduct home visits for non-adherent patients living with HIV and patients needing special accommodations (bed ridden, unable to walk, providing growth monitoring to children at home, etc.) in collaboration with Case Workers.
  • Facilitate support groups/workshops on various topics.
  • Maintain patient records ensure confidentiality of all patient files, documents, and information
  • Gather, analyse and submit all relevant statistical data on a monthly basis.

 Experience

  • Experience in the field of HIV/AIDS management is required.
  • Experience in anti-natal and management of children is required.
  • Experience in project management preferred.
  • Fluency in isiXhosa & English.

Educational Requirements

  • Applicants must possess a University Degree in a relevant discipline.

Salary:
