Financial Accountant with Power BI Experience (Port Elizabeth)

We are looking for a Financial Accountant with Power BI Experience to join our team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Monthly Management accounts and forecasts
  • Develop, maintain and improve comprehensive financial models to support scenario analysis and strategic planning
  • Financial Reporting

  • Regular engagement with relevant team members and departments to understand the underlying issues causing variances to budget with key ratios and profitability analysis

Accountant - Senior Account Manager (Port Elizabeth)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Management
    • Managing a team of 8 to 12 accountants and bookeepers that are providing external services to several clients that have various businesses.
    • The businesses are groups of companies that require outsourced back-office services
    • The team will need to be monitored and supported by the Senior Account Manager

          Dairy Manager (Swellendam)

          Our client is looking for a Dairy Farm Manager to join their team.

           Key Responsibilities would include:

          • Stockmanship of the overall dairy operations.
          • Oversee and monitor milking, machine and tank washing.
          • Ensure the dairy is operating to standard.
          • Pasture management of successful planting season through allocating, irrigating, farm cover, residual, soil and plant health.
          • Calf rearing and calving successfully rearing calves and managing a calving season.
          • Staff training, feeding, hygiene, growth rates, mortality rates and health.
          • Staff management, monitor and maintain staff and team. Motivate, discipline, train and ensure farm and staff performance and efficiency.
          • Cow comfort, condition, feeding, health, AI season and breeding results.
          • Infrastructure and machinery including setting some maintenance schedules and overseeing farm assets.
          • Assists with financial, physical budgeting and monthly profitability.

           Minimum Competency Requirements

          • Agricultural Diploma / Degree would be advantageous
          • Minimum 5-8 years dairy experience
          • Dairy Management experience essential
          • Minimum of 3 years pasture management experience
          • Must be experienced and able to run a +1000 cow herd
          • Rotary dairy experience would be advantageous

          Our client, a farming group in the George area, is looking for a Maintenance / Outside Foreman to join their team with immediate effect.

          Job Description: Tasks and Outputs will include, but not be limited to:

          • Plans, develops, and implements policies, procedures, and practices for operation on a dairy farm to ensure compliance with company’s or owner’s standards.
          • Assist and manage the daily grazing allocations and feed allocation monitoring.
          • Inspects facilities and equipment to ensure compliance with operational standards, and to determine maintenance and repair requirements.
          • Repairs and Maintenance, inclusive of mechanical systems such as Irrigation / Pivots / Pumps / Farm Implements, as well as basic Electrical jobs.
          • Preventative maintenance, planning & executing of regular maintenance of field equipment & machinery.
          • Budgeting the Repairs & Maintenance on the farms and accomplishing the maintenance within the planned budget.
          • Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies.
          • Total Workshop control of tools.
          • Authorizes job relevant requisitions, or purchases supplies and equipment, for example replacements for defective equipment.
          • Prepares maintenance activity reports for evaluation by management or owner.
          • Manage all labour related responsibilities in line with company policies.
          • Clerical and administrative job duties, like drawing up budget plans and maintaining records of day-to-day operations.

          Minimum Competence, Qualification and Experiential Requirements

          • Min 5 years practical experience
          • Mechanical ability and experience
